GOSPEL AND ENVIRONMENT OF A PERSON

 

Philippians 3:7-8 “But what things were gain to me, those I counted loss for Christ. Yea doubtless, and I count all things but loss for the excellency of the knowledge of Christ Jesus my Lord: for whom I have suffered the loss of all things, and do count them but dung, that I may win Christ,”

Paul was faithful in his Jewish religion, the Lord turned him over and put him on the other side, that is, on the side of Jesus so that he could do well on this side; we see Paul even as he entered the side of Jesus stood and preached the gospel faithfully, there are people who have the spirit or character of honesty in them even before they are saved, the God of Heaven converts that person to worship the true God and to do good and faithful.

You may find someone who wants to move forward but there are people who are preventing him from moving forward, you have to be faithful so that God will stand by you and give you the speed to move forward. Don't settle down or get discouraged, stand on what God has given you and you will prosper.

There is somebody who has got a good thing in his/her heart, it might be singing but if he/she wants to sing someone comes and tells him you can't but if God gave you something good stand with it in faithfulness and God will make you a place for His glory.

David became a king of Israel because of Goliath, why? The greatest obstacle for Israel was Goliath, so in order for God to find a faithful and fearless man he had to put a threshold in front so that the man could cross it and God could take that man. The gift you have cannot be seen without a threshold in front of you, the threshold that is set in front of you is not to finish you but for you to cross and move forward.

There is a place where you set a threshold and you fail to cross it, you must get to a place where you know who gave you that gift in order to cross the threshold and move forward.

There was a time when you lost God's call in you and you began to see things not going well and you began to wonder why things did not work out because you gave up, today get up and move forward, cross the threshold so that you can reach the greatness that God intended for you.

When David came out and struck Goliath the whole nation of Israel were amazed that the man who had threatened them was dead. After David had killed Goliath all the people of Israel lined up in praise and praised David. You are going to kill your Goliath who is torturing you, get up now and have the courage to put on the armor of God and stand up to win.

When Saul heard that the Israelites were singing and praising David, he was afraid because he knew that his kingdom was going to David and he wanted to kill David. When you do something that others have failed to do make sure you stay well because there are those who will want to bring you down so that you do not get to where God intended you to be.

The thresholds set before you are not to destroy you, no! But they are there for you to cross, and David met the threshold to take him away from herding his father's sheep so that he could stand for the whole nation of Israel.
