THE ANOINTING OIL

1 Samuel 16: 11- 13 “And Samuel said to Jesse, “Are all the young men here?” Then he said, “There remains yet the youngest, and there he is, keeping the sheep.”And Samuel said to Jesse, “Send and bring him. For we will not ^[a]sit down till he comes here.” ¹² So he sent and brought him in. Now he was ruddy, with ^[b]bright eyes, and good-looking. And the Lord said, “Arise, anoint him; for this is the one!” ¹³ Then Samuel took the horn of oil and anointed him in the midst of his brothers; and the Spirit of the Lord came upon David from that day forward. So Samuel arose and went to Ramah.”

Here there is a gesture of an authority of God. According to this scripture, something is going to happen today. After Samuel anointed David, the life of David was completely changed. Why? He did not anoint David for him to be for God but he anointed him for the responsibility. Oil means the responsibility vested on a person.  God regretted to anoint Saul because he did not do his role accordingly and forget that he was anointed for a purpose and that it is the one who anointed him who has a purpose, he was drunk by the anointing and forgets the purpose. When you are anointed do not be drunk by the responsibility but remember the purpose. The responsibility you have has power and glory in it, so don’t get drunk with that. It is for the desire of the one who has anointed you.

Today we have many anointed people in the world but many have lost the purpose and became drunk with the responsibility because of the glory of it. The one who got you there is the one with the authority over the purpose and not you. Never forget that none is greater than his own father. The one who has given you that authority can take it back and when He did so you will not see if He has taken it.

When I pour the oil upon you, God will let His Spirit upon you. The garment you have put on today has a meaning as a sign of the Holy Spirit and authority that the Holy Spirit shall be the one who shall guide you. Let your ways and work show deliverance to many and so don’t get pride and be swallowed by the glory. Be humble, obedient, and faithful to offer yourself to the Lord.

When a person is anointed it means that you are now separated for the Lord, and it means that

• The time of miracles has arrived so display that from now on
• The words of your lips shall have divine power so watch what you speak and where you speak
• It will be your time to show the power of God because the power of healing and blessings is upon you
• You shall command the goodness of God to get to people

At this time watch out where you are going, what you eat and wear, who you speak to because you shall not be of your own. Don’t allow things which don’t allow God’s glory in your life.

Humility will be your reward, which is your character to desire to hear and not to speak because for you to hear you need humility because God speaks only once. For you to receive from God the first secret is humility, which means to keep what you have heard. Don’t depart from the position of patient when offences come. Your position in your call will be determined by what your heart and speaks and what is your time for.

Psalm 45: 6- 7 “Your throne, O God, is forever and ever; A scepter of righteousness is the scepter of Your kingdom. ⁷ You love righteousness and hate wickedness; Therefore God, Your God, has anointed You With the oil of gladness more than Your companions.”

When am talking about gladness it is not about happiness but the oil to fulfill the will of God and make God rejoice over you.
