WHAT TO CONSIDER FOR YOUR PASSOVER

When we talk of Passover, it means coming out from somewhere to somewhere. When we desire to do that there are things we need to be alerted and take precautions. When Jesus wanted to give an alert He told them behold, meaning look careful. In this journey of salvation we look at the journey of Israelites coming out from Egypt going to Canaan. As Christians we also need to be alerted not only in our spirit but also in our sense. Our mind must take precautions.

When God told Moses what to do for the Passover, He told them they have to slaughter a lamb because He wanted them to share the blood. This means coming out from bondage to freedom needs sacrifice and sharing blood. Why the blood? Because the transfer cause death, it means that the life of bondage and slavery is a kind of living and so your life is bound there and to come out from that point something needs to be paid because you are there as a consequence and you have a right to be there because of the way your life was. It means it is legal for you to be there so to come out from where you belong, something must be paid.    

Many Christians do not have that consideration of coming out in their mind. To them when they are born again they don’t consider what happened, that is why they are born again but still live in bondage for they don’t have that capacity in their mind to consider.  Consideration is a key for understanding. Passover was there as an act of slaughtering so that they could come out easily. Some people are in bondage and they need a certain act for them to get out of that bondage.

We see during the Passover something happened to both the Egyptians and the Israelite to cause something to happen. Israelites as strangers were told to slaughter and eat a lamb before morning and burn the remaining, this was a precaution. To the sides of the Egyptians the first born had to die and after that, there were cries all over Egypt and Pharaoh release the Israelite to go meaning that to cause your enemy to release you, you have to cause damage to him.

1 John 3: 8(b) “For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil.”

The son of the living God was revealed to destroy the works of the devil. It means that for you to be free the works of the devil which makes you timid, poor, in pain, unhappy, wonder, hustle day by day must be destroyed. But before that you have to do something to cause the One who can help you kill the enemy to be with you and help you because by yourself you cannot defeat the devil. The time has come for you to rise up and do something.

The day when they slaughter, something came when they were eating and helped them destroy their enemy and there were cries everywhere and the enemy released them. Get tired of the life you are in and decide to give something to God and tell Him that you are ready for your Passover. God hears prayers, so go back to Jesus and ask Him what He wants you to offer. Know that the bondage you are in is okay for you to be there because someone gave you to that bondage.

It is by the word of God you can discern what bondage are you in. Many Christian wants cheap and easy things, that is why they are not coming out because they are still in bondage. I urge you today, come out! If you decide God will surely tell you what bondage are you in and He will tell you what to do for you to come out. If the Son of God makes you free, you will be free indeed in every area of your life. Freedom helps you to enjoy who you are but there is something to do, ask the Lord for your Passover.

Exodus 20: 24 “An altar of earth thou shalt make unto me, and shalt sacrifice thereon thy burnt offerings, and thy peace offerings, thy sheep, and thine oxen: in all places where I record my name I will come unto thee, and I will bless thee.”

There is something to offer to put God in action and cause Him intervene your situation. Discover what type of offerings between the burning offering and peace offering you need to do because all are there to cause you to make God intervene your situation. There are some issues you will go everywhere to seek for prayers but nothing will happen.

Exodus 23: 20 “Behold, I send an Angel before thee, to keep thee in the way, and to bring thee into the place which I have prepared.”

Every one of us has a place of glory. Don’t die without getting to your place of glory because you have to leave a legacy behind for you descendant to say this is what our father did for us. It is glory for the kingdom of God. The Angel started the journey with the Israelites when they were already out and passed the red sea. You have to come out from your familiar area for God to start showing you a way.  Until when you are bitter with the life you are in, you will never come out and enjoy the glory that God has planned for you. Somebody who hears this voice will come out before you die and people are going to celebrate your glory.
