THE WORSHIPER
The reason of our worship is to present
ourselves before the creator through our life style; it is a way of living. The
type of life you are living will show who you are worshiping. This is a time of
discernment where you need to discern who you are, who is Jesus, who is the
Holy Spirit and what are the gift of the Holly Spirit, What is the power of God
and the presence of God. We need to discern so that we can get away from the
world lifestyle. Until when you decide that, it is when you will become a partaker
of the things of heaven.
You cannot worship God and still
be torched by devil; you cannot worship God and still be torched by the environment.
A worshiper cannot be killed by any size of army unless the one you worship has
delivered you to them for His own purpose. The bible says don’t touch my anointed;
the worshipers have been anointed to worship God because God is seeking them Himself
and they are not the one seeking God. Lions could not do anything to Daniel
because he was a worshiper. You have to be trusted by God because God is
watching the worshipers where they go because wherever they go they go for a
purpose.
Worshipers are real and not scornful
because they know where they come from, where they are and where they are
going. Worshipers don’t worship everywhere because they know where their home
is. They are not looking for miracles but they are miracles themselves. When
you know who you are, God will give you what you want. To be born again is a miracle
because no one knows how it happen so stay where you are because you are the miracle
yourself and you don’t have to chase them. First thank God for whom you are
because you are a miracle already. Being in Efatha is a miracle and when God
sees you know yourself He will be for you.
In 2 chronicles 20 we see how King Jehoshaphat recognise himself
before God and God took the battle because he was a worshiper and God wanted
them not to fight but continue to worship Him. God don’t fight your battle because
you don’t live as a worshiper and you have been living like people of the
world. Give thanks to God no matter what, let your mouth not curse or speak
stupidly against God. The time you thank God is how He takes your battle.
Exodus 18:24-27 “So
Moses listened to his father-in-law and did all that he had said. 25 Moses
chose able men from all Israel and appointed them as heads over the people, as
officers over thousands, hundreds, fifties, and tens. 26 And
they judged the people at all times; hard cases they brought to Moses, but any
minor case they decided themselves. 27 Then Moses
let his father-in-law depart, and he went off to his own country.”
We see the council of the man of God to the people of God. When you hear
the council of God from the man of God do accordingly because that council is
for your rescue. Moses did according to the council of his father in law, are
you doing according to the council? No matter how you pray, if you don’t follow
the council you will go nowhere.
Exodus 19:1-25 “On the
third new moon after the Israelites had gone out of the land of Egypt, on that
very day, they came into the wilderness of Sinai. 2 They
had journeyed from Rephidim, entered the wilderness of Sinai, and camped in the
wilderness; Israel camped there in front of the mountain. 3 Then
Moses went up to God; the Lord called to him from the mountain,
saying, “Thus you shall say to the house of Jacob, and tell the Israelites: 4 You
have seen what I did to the Egyptians, and how I bore you on eagles’ wings and
brought you to myself....”
A good worshiper is the one who knows where he/she came from and what happened.
It is not the way you see things but the way you understand what happened where
you came from. It is only the wise who always want to know what happened. You have
to know where Efatha start and what happened for you to be in Efatha and when
you discover those things you will know where you are going.
God told Moses to tell people that He is the one who brought them from Egypt
from the eagles’ wings. Why eagles’ wings? It means he was telling them that I
carried you by the power of the Holy Spirit and through His guidance. He was
telling them I took you there for you to be mine in unusual way.
God told Moses that if they will hear His voice they will be the kingdom priest
and the holy nation. If you hear and keep the covenant you will be the kingdom
priest. The priest here means the righteous and the worshiper, the way of life
of priest means priesthood but they will live as kings. So if you hear the voice of the Lord you will
live like a king and your lifestyle will be of priesthood and therefore you
will never be poor and you and your people will be a holy nation.
From verse 10 we learn that the worshipers knows when to do what and
where to do what and where to go and when. As God told Moses to take out his
shoes, He also told Moses to sanctify the Israelites before getting closer to
Him. It is good to make sure that when you are going before God you clean
yourself physically and wear clean clothes.
God told Moses to tell people not to come closer because our God needs
distance of honour and respect. He also need respect to the servants of God
that is why He told Moses to tell people not to come closer to him for them not
to hear what God is telling him. Learn to have respect to the servants of God
and don’t get familiar spirit because you will die prematurely. When you
respect that then you are preparing yourself for good and great things.
Exodus 20:1-24 “Then
God spoke all these words:2 I am the Lord your
God, who brought you out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of
slavery; 3 you shall have no other gods before[a] me.”
God started giving Moses the instruction which we call the Ten
Commandments covering the following
- First commandment says I am the Lord your God, do not put anything to be your God. This means there is only one God
- Second commandment means do not call the name of the Lord while you are a hypocrite or a pretender. Remember Psalm 1:1- 3, only call the name of the Lord if you follow this verse
- Third commandment is about honouring the day of rest. This is the day we call a day of worship. To us the new covenant we use the day we celebrate the victory of Jesus as the day of rest and worship. Israelites celebrated on Sabbath because it was the day they came out from Egypt but for us we came out the day Jesus come out of the tomb. We don’t celebrate the day but the act of victory. On Saturday Jesus was in the tomb and there was nothing to celebrate on that day so remember the day of victory
- Fourth commandment is where there is the promise unlike in all other commandments. God wants you to prosper that is why the first three commandments are for God’s benefit but the fourth is for your benefit. If you miss this commandment you will benefit nothing because God looks at this to bless you even when you do all the first three. There are two groups of parents, the spiritual presenting God and the biological which present generation, so you will be blessed when you honour them. If your biological parents are no more, then honour your spiritual one because the spiritual parents can represent both parents
- The fifth to ninth commandments are for benefiting other people in your community and they tell you how to live with the community of God peacefully
- The last commandment tells you not to go to other gods
At the end we see God telling them that when they will do all the commandments
they should go to a place of worship together with their offerings. When you do
the Ten Commandments then go somewhere to worship Him through your offerings.
So worship means giving and it is only the righteous one that follows the commands
are allowed to give offerings. When you follow the commandment is when you are
called a worshiper.
