OUR JOURNEY OF SALVATION
This journey start here on earth but ends in heaven and all the travellers
must have what is needed for the journey. No one will be permitted to get to
heaven without permission, meaning that there is someone who gives the permission.
Some people will get the permission but will destroy their permission themselves
so be very attentive.
This journey is for the believers. How are we going to know what this
journey looks like? We learn from the journey of Israelites from Egypt to Canaan,
the land of milk and honey.
Exodus 5: 1, 3 “And
afterward Moses and Aaron went in, and told Pharaoh, Thus saith the Lord God
of Israel, Let my people go, that they may hold a feast unto me in the
wilderness....3 And they said, The God of the Hebrews
hath met with us: let us go, we pray thee, three days' journey into the desert,
and sacrifice unto the Lord our God; lest he fall upon us with
pestilence, or with the sword.”
The verse talks about God giving instructions to Moses, to tell the
Israelites that they must come out of Egypt and go where He has prepared for
them. Why coming out of Egypt to the wilderness? God wanted them to get away
from their familiar area and make a feast to God, so we also should come out of
our familiar area.
First God wanted them to give sacrifice to God that is why He wanted them
to come out. Why giving sacrifice to God? Because someone was holding that
sacrifice for himself and not for God, and now God was telling them that they
will give sacrifice to God. If you don’t give sacrifice to God, then diseases
and sword will be upon you as it happened to the Egyptians. This means that if
you have sufferings there is something you don’t do it right to God. It is only
those who give offering to idols who are permitted to get sufferings but not
those who are travelling.
Exodus 6: 1, 7 “Then
the Lord said unto Moses, Now shalt thou see what I will do to
Pharaoh: for with a strong hand shall he let them go, and with a strong hand shall
he drive them out of his land...7 And I will take you to
me for a people, and I will be to you a God: and ye shall know that I am
the Lord your God, which bringeth you out from under the burdens of
the Egyptians.”
The Lord said unto Moses, now you will see what I will do Pharaoh, so if
you here my voice today you will see what God will do to your enemy who has
been oppressing and despising you. God is so aware of our offerings because where
your offerings are, is where your heart is. When God sees your work and all the
benefits of what you have laboured handled over to Him, God will know that you
are for Him and He will be for you.
If you have decided today to hear and do accordingly, God will take you
out with a strong hand out of that destruction and people will ask what is happening.
The One we worship has a tendency of appearing to somebody so desire to be among
those who God will appear to them. God appeared to them as the Lord God All might
because He is powerful to change your situation. He was known to them by the name
Jehovah and established a covenant with them. In Efatha we have a covenant with
God. Those who have a covenant with God have the authority to command things and
they happen.
Why God sent Moses. He sent Moses so that the Israelites can get out of destruction,
and I am sent to you so that you can get out of destruction and you will never
remain the same. I am guiding you toward your inheritance.
Exodus 7: 1 “And
the Lord said unto Moses, See, I have made thee a god to Pharaoh: and
Aaron thy brother shall be thy prophet.”
Ask God to let you be god to your Pharaoh from today. When you are born
again, and decide to walk with Jesus, believing and trusting God, don’t say you
are in vain if you encounter a challenge, remember God has harden the heart of
you enemy so that He can multiply His signs and wonders. Keep trusting God and
do His instructions and when God sees that you have touched His heart you will
see changes. Don’t wait for someone to push you but do whatever you can to do
as you are instructed and what you feel in your heart to make God do something
in your life
Exodus 8: 1 “And
the Lord spake unto Moses, Go unto Pharaoh, and say unto him, Thus saith
the Lord, Let my people go, that they may serve me."
The second desire of God was for the Israelites to serve Him that is why
He took them out. The main objectives for you to come out is for you to serve God,
so tell Him that you are ready to serve Him and He will take you out.
Exodus 10: 25 “And
Moses said, Thou must give us also sacrifices and burnt offerings, that we may
sacrifice unto the Lord our God.”
God commanded them what to do, and we are also commanded to offer ourselves
with all that we have.
Exodus 13: 1- 2 “And
the Lord spake unto Moses, saying,2 Sanctify
unto me all the firstborn, whatsoever openeth the womb among the children of
Israel, both of man and of beast: it is mine.”
The third purpose for taking them out was for them to give to Him their first
born for their redemption. Anything which is first is for God and not for you.
Exodus 14: 1- 2 “And
the Lord spake unto Moses, saying, 2 Speak
unto the children of Israel, that they turn and encamp before
Pihahiroth, between Migdol and the sea, over against Baalzephon: before it
shall ye encamp by the sea.”
How do you know that you are about to defeat your enemy? It is when you
are at the middle of nowhere and you don’t know what is happening. When you see
there is no way out know that your time has come, don’t seek people but just
lift your hands to God, surrendering yourself before Him. When you see you are
just moving, know that you have not yet reached a place of waiting for your enemy
to be defeated.
At this point, there are cries all the time, knowing nothing to do next.
At this time just lift your hands to God and tell Him that God, now I know this
is your time. On that day the Israelites cried and even Moses knew nothing to
do because the environment could not allow them to go anywhere. But we see God
told Moses to camp just there and they will see the hand of God. Where have you
camped?
At this stage even when you pray you cannot see the answer. God will
never start something until when He puts you somewhere where He sees you cannot
go anywhere so that you can trust Him forever. Until when you listen to His
voice and do as He command is when you will start seeing deliverance. Tell God
that you want to be His forever.
