GOD'S INSTRUCTIONS FORT HE JOURNEY- PART II
Exodus 23:1-23 “4 “If you meet your enemy’s ox or his donkey
going astray, you shall surely bring it back to him again. 5 If
you see the donkey of one who hates you lying under its burden, and you would
refrain from helping it, you shall surely help him with it. 6 “You
shall not pervert the judgment of your poor in his dispute. 7 Keep
yourself far from a false matter; do not kill the innocent and righteous.
For I will not justify the wicked. 8 And you
shall take no bribe, for a bribe blinds the discerning and perverts the words
of the righteous.....”
Emphasis on verse 4, 9- 11, 14-
17, 19- 23
In verse 4 we start learning that we should not rejoice when our enemy is
in trouble instead we should save or help the enemy when in trouble and by
doing so we reconcile and chase away enmity and the enemy will honour you and
fear you.
Again in verse 9 we see God commanding the Israelites not to oppress a
stranger for they were once strangers. We see God is saying to them that they
know a heart of stranger because a strange is normally intimidates, has no
right and is in need so you should not oppressed them because they are already
in need. Strangers are always weak so
treat them well. Many times we chase strangers away in church because of how we
live, speak and act but woe unto you if you do that. When we receive people in
Jesus, we must ask ourselves how do we receive them, watch out not to make
someone backslide because of how you treat them. If someone comes to you as a
stranger know that where they come from they have been intimidated already so
don’t add more intimidation to them.
We learn that God remember even animals and birds, that is why He
commanded them not to harvest on the seventh year of harvest but let poor
people and strangers harvest and the remaining to be eaten by animals and
birds. This means that in our works, in the seventh year we should let our income
be eaten by strangers and people who are poor and God will amaze us when we do
so. I am determined to start doing this myself.
Three times in a year you must come before the Lord and eat and drink
before His presence as God commanded the Israelites. In Efatha we gather before
God three times in a year at Precious centre Kibaha and we have seen God
visiting us while we are there as an assurance that He is with us and He is
taking us somewhere.
We are again commanded to take the first fruit and bring them in the
house of the Lord. Just like what happened to the woman of Sarepter who
ministered to the servant of God, you just make God a priority and He will do
as He did to that woman.
In verse 20 we learn that when you are saved from that first day there is
an Angel sent to go ahead of you and take you where you are supposed to go.
Many saints have quarrelled with this Angel and they are no more together, you
will know that your Angel is no more with you when you will see things are not
progressing well. When you understand your position it is easier to understand
the position of God, but if you don’t know your position you will never comprehend
God’s position. The Angel that goes before you knows the way so you will never
get lost if you go with Him. We see God telling Moses that this Angel is
different from the cloud and their jobs are also different because the cloud
was to protect them and the Angel was to show them the way.
This Angel speaks to you every time because He knows the way so accept to
listen to Him. This Angel has the name of God in Him because He carries the
thoughts/ purpose of God unlike other Angels such as Michael and Gabriel. This
Angel represents God to you. When I tell
you follow me it is because I am with this Angel and He knows where I am going.
The presence of God saves, heal and revive what was dying.
We see God was telling Moses to tell the Israelites not to provoke this
Angel, so do not provoke the one that is ahead of you because there are times
the Angel of God may grant your leader to declare something upon you, so when
you provoke your leader, he/she may declare an evil word before you and it will
becomes permanent. This Angel don’t forgive because He never planned to come
but has been commanded, so if He has been commanded to come He cannot go as He
wishes but only do what is commanded because if He act recklessly He will be
punished and so He is not ready to make mistakes. When you provoke this Angel
the pain is greater than the pain from the devil. He does not want words which
shows you have no faith, displays revenge, despise others, backslide and
failure. Therefore be faithful in your speech and your actions. This Angel may
not necessarily speak to you but He may speak to someone to speak to you.
When you hearken to this Angel, anything which is an enemy to you will be
reported to heaven and heaven will bring help to deal with what troubles you be
it in finances, business or anything. If you are of Efatha the Angel that leads
me will also be yours to lead you and take you to a place where God has
prepared for you. This Angel is very important so listen and act on what you
are told to do.
What does this Angel wants?
- He wants us to discern the language and speak as people who are going somewhere and not as if we have no journey
- He wants to show us that when we talk we should be careful not to offend God
- He wants us to have the desire to the place He is taking us. This means our actions and speech should thirst for the destination
If you hear this Angle, then your enemy will be His and He will give you
the victory which is above all those who have hindered things which are your
rights (the Amorites and the Hittites and the Perizzites and the Canaanites and
the Hivites and the Jebusites). But you must have a good fellowship with this
Angel for Him to be able to speak to heaven concerning your
things for you to get where you are supposed to go and become prosperous. When
God restored you to a place where you will start to hear this Angel you will be
restored with all that you have lost because all will be remembered.
