Growing up in Christ Jesus

1 Peter 2:2 “Like newborn infants, long for the pure, spiritual milk, so that by it you may grow into salvation”

There are three areas in growing up you have to discern yourself

• You have to know you are a new baby
• You must desire the milk of the word (How to discern the word)
• You must grow hereby in salvation

You should know which word is called pure milk, which word is meat, which word is borne, which word is honey, which word is water, which word is bread, which word is fire, which word is light, which word is a hummer and which word is a sword. When you are born again you have to discern and understand which word is of which level. You should know yourself in which stage of the word you are and which title has given you the power to act upon. You will know the stage you are by seeing the results of the word you are using.

If you see yourself getting hurt easily by what people says, then know the word to you is not yet bread, and so you still need to take a word more as milk.

The word like a hummer, fire or sword is for those who are grown up in salvation and reached the stage where the word is sweet to them like honey. These people use the word like fire to clear their bushes because they want to prosper and move forward in their salvation.

When you are born again you must move from stage to gate for you to learn how to grow. If you skip a child stage, know that devil will trouble you in the future

Hebrew 6: 1 “Therefore let us go on toward perfection,^[a] leaving behind the basic teaching about Christ, and not laying again the foundation: repentance from dead works and faith toward God”

When you become born again, learn about repentance. If you don’t know about repentance you will always repeat sin doing stupid things. Repentance carries two areas, how to repent and how to forgive. If you have this you will never carry people in your heart.

In this verse we also learn about dead things, meaning all things which will never help you to add faith in your life. Everything you do which add faith in your life add something precious in your life and you will never end up poor. It is also about learning faith in God, what He did and what He will do.

We don’t learn this for grown up people because for them it is them who do things for the glory of God but for the babies it is God who do things for them for they are still babies. For the babies, we teach them but for the grown up we council them. You therefore must grow hear by in salvation knowing which stage you are and what kind of word do you need

• The word we call it milk is all about repentance, hope in God, baptism and praises to God, which aims at refreshing people for them to be more thirst to seek God
• The word as meat is when you began to learn which word concern what and start understand what is right and what is wrong
• The word as borne is when you begin learning who God is and His laws and judgement
• The word as honey is when you start learning the goodness of God and test His loving kindness
• The word as water is when you learn as in Ezekiel 47 when the bible talks about water for swimming. This is a time for the gifts of the Holy Spirit
• The word as bread is used to strengthen you ready for the battle. This is used when you worn out, there are threats, battle and enemies around. You may see this when David return back from the war in Psalm 23, 27, 91. When you are weak, sick and tired you need the word as a bread to gain strength
• The word as fire is when you see darkness ahead of you, a thick forest you cannot pass through while you see the way and there is fear. The word as fire is used for the enemy you don’t know to clear the way out and move properly without fear
• The word as light is used when you don’t see the way. When you want to see the blessings God has promised you, you ask Him to let His word shine upon you and allow you to see the promised and goodness He has promised you. Jacob and Isaac prayed this kind of prayer. When the word shines upon you is for your problems to be solved
• The word as hummer is needed when we see things are difficult and there is a strong hold around us and we don’t see a way out. This is especially when our understanding is surrounded by strong hold. Hummer is not for the enemy but for you to understand the will of God
• The word as a sword is used for the enemy, when the enemies are so close. This is when you know who the enemy is

1Peter 2: 16-19 “As servants^[a] of God, live as free people, yet do not use your freedom as a pretext for evil. ¹⁷ Honor everyone. Love the family of believers.^[b] Fear God. Honor the emperor. ¹⁸ Slaves, accept the authority of your masters with all deference, not only those who are kind and gentle but also those who are harsh. ¹⁹ For it is a credit to you if, being aware of God, you endure pain while suffering unjustly.”
