THE PRESENCE OF GOD WILL SHOW YOU YOUR PURPOSE AND TAKE YOU FROM SHAME
Isaiah 66:1-5 “This is what the Lord says: “Heaven
is my throne, and the earth is my footstool.
Where is the house you will build for me? Where will my resting place be? 2 Has
not my hand made all these things, and so they came into being?”declares
the Lord. “These are the ones I look on with favor: those who are humble
and contrite in spirit, and who tremble at my word..........”
Verse 5: Hear the word of the Lord, you who
tremble at his word: “Your own people who hate you, and exclude you
because of my name, have said, ‘Let the Lord be glorified, that we
may see your joy!’ Yet they will be put to shame.”
No one who is delighted to His word will be ashamed. No one
trusting God will tremble. The Lord is our shepherd, our fortress, our shelter,
our strength and the source of our life no matter what will happen. Worship Him
because He always cares about you. Worry not about tomorrow for there is
someone who always cares about you regardless of any situation. You are here
because He cares about you.
You should know that there was someone/ something that
wanted to finish and shame you, but Somebody up there came and pulled you out
and kept you safe. That Person is here today and He has come to rescue you
today.
Isaiah 66:13- 14 “As a mother comforts her child, so will I
comfort you; and you will be comforted over Jerusalem. When you see this,
your heart will rejoice and you will flourish like grass; the hand of the Lord will be made known to his servants, but his
fury will be shown to his foes”
When we talk about Jerusalem, we talk about three areas
- Middle East where the country of Israel is
- Jerusalem, a city which will come from above one the last days
- A person who allows the Spirit of Christ to live in him/ her. You are the city of Jerusalem
Therefore wherever Gods people gather, God calls that place
His city of Jerusalem, meaning where the peace of God lies. God is going to do
something tangible to you which will make you rejoice.
(Pray to God, for Him
to be your comforter, to be your Lord and saviour. Submit yourself before Him.
Ask Him to let you be the citizen of Jerusalem)
Verse 21-23 “And I will
select some of them also to be priests and Levites,” says the Lord. 22 “As
the new heavens and the new earth that I make will endure before me,”
declares the Lord, “so will your name and descendants endure. From one New
Moon to another and from one Sabbath to another, all mankind will come and
bow down before me,” says the Lord”
God wants those who dwell in his word to be His servants and
live in His new earth and new heaven, those who are chosen by Him, who wants to
be in His presence. Those who have given their life to God despite of all the
pain they go through. God is going to do a new thing which you have never known
before.
That new heaven and earth is not for everybody but for the
worshipers only. Those who trust Him
will lack nothing.
God is going to allow His presence for you to reach your
destiny and fulfill your purpose. His presence makes you identified. Outside His
presence there is chaos and neither you nor anyone can identify you. They could
not identify Joseph because they were out of God’s presence. In His presence
there is discovery and discernment.
Outside of His presence there is so much toil and you will
never see the fruits of your work. Joseph was in His presence day and night even
though he was sold in the house of Potiphar that is why whatever he did prosper.
With the presence of God you will succeed regardless of where you are.
Many believers love to have His power, which is a good
thing, but the presence of God will help you chase away your enemy- sin who is
your greatest enemy. Sin means disobedient. The day you finish battling with
sin, devil will be finished.
The day you conquered the great enemy, God will announce and
declare you His anointed servant, and He will command ‘don’t touch him’.
The great battle is in our mind, between yes and no. Heaven
wants you to say yes, and your mind wants to say no. Devil wants to rule you
and God wants to rule you. Jesus conquered after he won the battle at Gethsemane
and by submitting Himself to the creator. You can only win this battle by
running to the cross and accept His will to be done in your life, but you
should remember that there is shame and all kind of pain therefore grow in
faith. The battle is between obedience and sin. It is only when you surrender and
submit yourself to God and stop doing your own will that you will conquer.
Know the purpose of
your life
- Is your faith and action fulfilling your purpose?
When you know your purpose, it is easy for you to fulfill the
will of God. When Jacob was about to die, he told all of his children their
purposes on earth. Make sure you consider what you hear from your spiritual
father so that you don’t miss your purpose.
- Do not compare somebody’s life to your life. You have different purpose, so concentrate with yours
John 15:5 “I am the vine; you are the branches. If you
remain in me and I in you, you will bear much fruit; apart from me you can
do nothing.”
Abide in Him for you to get what is yours. Concentrating on
your battle and you will finish it fast.
- Let your eyes look forward
You may count hard situations, but it will not be
impossible. Don’t keep your eyes and concentrate on hard things.
Exodus 23:20 “See, I am sending
an angel ahead of you to guard you along the way and to bring you to the
place I have prepared.”
Allow the Spirit to guide you because He knows what you
want. You should know that the hardest things are not permanent.
- The door is open somewhere and one day will be opened for you
No matter what is going on in your life, one day you will come
out of it and you will forget what happened to you.
1 Corinthians 16:9
“because a great door for effective work
has opened to me, and there are many who oppose me.”
Genesis 4:7 “If you do what is right, will you not be
accepted? But if you do not do what is right, sin is crouching at your
door; it desires to have you, but you must rule over it.”
Your enemy, sin is at the door. Kick your enemy out for you
to see something special God has prepared for you. Sin will make you wonder, sending
you darkness to stop you to see the door. You will do well by obedience.
When Jesus decided to surrender to God’s will, God’s angels
were released to help Jesus fulfill His purpose.
- Do not allow yourself to choose things for yourself, let God choose for you for He has something good for you
