THE IMPORTANCE AND POWER OF PRAISE
Most people value prayers than
praise, that is why there is an overnight prayer but not overnight praise. People
do not know what praise can do to their life while they may know what prayers
can do. Most people assume that praise is a preparation for something big as we
are waiting for prayer, or a healing session.
The bible says the Lord inhabit
the praises of His people and He dwell in the middle of praise. Praise is the
address of God. Even in the Lord’s Prayer when Jesus was teaching the disciples
how to pray, He taught them that praise comes before anything “Our Father who
art in heaven, hallowed be thy name.....”
When the Israelites were going
for the war and lost the battle twice, the prophet of God told them to let Jude
go first (Jude means praise) and they won the battle after doing so. Today I
challenge you, let praise go first before your hard work, prayers, fasting,
binding and losing and casting out. Praise clears the way for you and prepares
the path for you. Learn a lifestyle of
praise in all mist of life. In all situations learn to praise the Lord because
there is power in it that will change your situation.
Luke 17:11- 18 “Now on his
way to Jerusalem, Jesus traveled along the border between Samaria and
Galilee. 12 As he was going into a village, ten men
who had leprosy[a] met him. They stood at a distance 13 and
called out in a loud voice, “Jesus, Master, have pity on us!” 14 When
he saw them, he said, “Go, show yourselves to the priests.” And as
they went, they were cleansed. 15 One of them, when he
saw he was healed, came back, praising God in a loud voice. 16 He
threw himself at Jesus’ feet and thanked him—and he was a Samaritan. 17 Jesus
asked, “Were not all ten cleansed? Where are the other nine? 18 Has
no one returned to give praise to God except this foreigner?” 19 Then
he said to him, “Rise and go; your faith has made you well.”
When Jesus was travelling to
Jerusalem though Galilee and Samaria the bible says as they were going there
they went to a certain village and met men with leprosy. God is ready to change
the agenda of heaven and come to you to bring answers to your situation as
Jesus changed the route and pass to that value-less village and bring healing
to those ten leprosies.
Jesus told them they should go show
themselves before the priests and it is on their way they received their
healing. You should know that not every healing happens immediately, some
healing happens when you keep walking in faith, keep trusting what God has
said in your life because in due time it will come to pass. Never doubt your
God and His ability. When God wants to do certain miracles in your life He will
send you back to the very people who said you are a failure, who never believed
in you just as Jesus sent those ten leprosies to the priests because He wants
to be glorified.
If you learn to praise God, he
will give you foreign answers like He gave to the Samaritan who was a
foreigner. Foreign answers are those things you receive that have not existed
before in your family. If you praise God even in difficult times, foreign
breakthrough will come into your life.
It doesn’t matter where you come from, just praise God and you will see foreign
blessing into your life. Confess today that you will live a life of praise no
matter the pain.
The other nine leprosies got
healed from the sickness but that one Samaritan who returned to praise Jesus
received more than healing, he was made whole and new again recovering all that
he lost because of praise. All that you have lost will come back to you when
you praise the Lord because there is power in praise.
When you spend money for your
needs and pray for them God will protect them, but when you start thanking God
for those needs you have met, He will restore the money spent on the things you
enjoyed. You will have another channel of income only because you have praise
Him.
God is looking for people who
will always glorify Him and lift up His name.
