HOPE
Hope will
make you act and be motivated. Without hope we cannot reach our goals, but hope
will help us do accordingly towards who we are. We do as we are if hope is in
us. You cannot exercise your potential until hope rises in you. When hope rises,
actions according to who you are starts. If there is no hope you will do the
opposite.
When I was building
this place, the area was a swamp, full of water, but because I was in hope, the
swamp was not an issue to me, but I acted according to my hope that on this
place I will build for many people to come and worship God together with
me. My physical eyes saw the challenge
but my hope told me you have got what you needed. If your hope tells you yes,
stand on it and don’t look at the challenge you see. Many times what we desire
is not God’s desire for us because we have not learned to walk in hope.
In today’s
world you see a challenge of hope is everywhere, people have lost hope in God.
By holding hope you will reach your goal. The way you contain hope is how you
will fulfill your destiny.
In Joshua 6, the bible talks about Joshua
when he was in Jericho. When they arrived Jericho they found a wall which was a
challenge for them to get inside, but with hope God told them to go around the
wall for seven days. Hope will give you trust in God. When the trust in God
grows, it makes miracles to happen without even praying for miracles. We hold
in hope trusting God, and God does miracles. Do not fast and pray if you have
no hope. The Israelite did not pray, they were just in hope trusting God and
God did the miracle. Trusting God makes you act and the act makes God to act
with you.
Obedience
cannot come if you are not in hope. When you have hopes, God will give you
vision or dreams which will make you somebody. Hope will make you dream your
future. Where there is hope, wisdom comes in and starts telling you what to do.
While wisdom begins his work, faith comes in.
Hope and
faith helps you to look back and forward correcting your mistakes and failures.
Hope will never leave you without repentance. In Joshua 7 we see Joshua going back to the Lord after losing the
battle, asking where he has done wrong. Hope will grant you a life of self
correction, correcting yourself everyday so that you may be better than yesterday.
If you see life is difficult start asking yourself where have you done wrong, instead
of starting casting out the devil. If we want God to walk with us and do
wonders in our life we must know where we have wronged Him, know where you have
come from, where you are and where you are heading to. Ask yourself if people
around you are pleased with you and what to do to make them happy. Psalm 51
Hope will
help you turn around looking where your salvation is coming from, it will guide
you towards your salvation. Hope drives you toward where your opportunity is.
Hope will always drive you to your success, hope is a driving motor to become
who you are in Him. Look at your life,
are you succeeding? Are you growing? Allow hope to come for it will make you
somebody.
Consider the
following questions:
- Do you trust God? In what?
- In your family, do they have hope? Do you have hope in them? Do they have hope in you?
- At work, do you have any hope with what you do?
- In your relationships, is there any hope in your relationships, with wife, husband, children, friends, fellow etc?
- In your commitments, do you have any hope in whatever you are committed to do?
Hope is like
a mountain of Zion according to Psalm
125. If you are in hope you cannot do as you want because there is somebody
owning your life and whatever you do is not by your might or power but by the
power of the one who owns you, the Lord. When God sees your hope and your trust
He gives you what you want to make your faith strong.
Prayer
without hope is nothing, but prayer with hopes brings faith and it is where
there is power to cause things to happen. God give you faith but hope comes
within you because you were created with it. Faith comes by hearing the word of
God but we do not gain hope by listening to the word but by recognizing who we
are. We plan things because of hope and not because of faith. Even sinners can live
by hope because they were created with it, but it is only the believers who can
live by faith.
If you cannot
hold and maintain things you were created with, how can you live with things
from God?
