DON’T FORGET!

Deuteronomy 8:11- 15 “Be careful that you do not forget the Lord your God, failing to observe his commands, his laws and his decrees that I am giving you this day. 12 Otherwise, when you eat and are satisfied, when you build fine houses and settle down, 13 and when your herds and flocks grow large and your silver and gold increase and all you have is multiplied, 14 then your heart will become proud and you will forget the Lord your God, who brought you out of Egypt, out of the land of slavery. 15 He led you through the vast and dreadful wilderness, that thirsty and waterless land, with its venomous snakes and scorpions. He brought you water out of hard rock.”

God told Moses to remind Israelites not to forget because devil uses that weakness of human to do the following:
  • Weaken us
  •  Punish us
Forgetting is a state of losing. When you remember you have power to gain. People with high capacity of remembrance are always winning in all aspects, school, business, marriage etc.  These people are stronger than devil. When satan went to tempt Jesus on food, Jesus remembered that we don’t live by bread alone but by the word of God. Jesus remembered all the right answers when devil wanted to test Him (to punish Him) at the mountain.

It is lack of ability to remember the word of God that makes people sin God and make devil use that weakness to torcher you. Any torcher my come to you from devil if you forget quickly. Your power is in the power of remembrance.

It is easy to forget when you are either joyful or when in pain. When you forget when some situations appears in your life, devil will use that to torcher you.

Never forget where you came from, where you are now and where you are going.

Jacob always remembered where he came from, passing it to his son Joseph who also always remembered where he is going and therefore never accepted Potiphar’s wife. Remembrance will give you discipline.

When you forget it is easy for you to go back, but when you remember it is easy for you to move forward.

When you forget it is easy for you to fall and not to rise up. Those who remember they are in grace.

Ask yourself, do I remember where I came from? How I got served? so that you can remember what God’s promised you.
