EXPECTATIONS
1 John 1:1-3
“That which was from the
beginning, which we have heard, which we have seen with our
eyes, which we have looked at and our hands have touched—this we proclaim
concerning the Word of life. 2 The life appeared; we
have seen it and testify to it, and we proclaim to you the eternal
life, which was with the Father and has appeared to us. 3 We
proclaim to you what we have seen and heard, so that you also may have
fellowship with us. And our fellowship is with the Father and with his Son,
Jesus Christ.”
The bible says
what you have seen, heard and touches are the word of life. John told us that
he saw, heard and continue to make follow up on what he heard from Jesus.
Expectations
are the things you see but have not yet touched. It is through faith that you
can take a step and touch your expectations. We have already hear with our ears
and see with our own eyes the wonders of God and now it is our time to hold
what we are expecting.
Your
expectation is a spiritual pregnancy, therefore like a pregnant mother
expecting for a child, you should also take steps and start preparing yourself to
receive your expectations. You must hold them with your own hands. Focus on
what you are expecting
Hebrews 11:1-2 “Now faith is confidence in what we hope for and assurance about
what we do not see. 2 This is what the ancients
were commended for.”
It is true
that you will receive and surely you will hold what you are expecting. What
makes your expectations work is the word of God which is alive. This word is
the one which created heaven and earth and just as how the word created heaven
and earth, it will also create your expectations.
It is this
word of God which changes situations, people and everything to be as what it
says. Make sure you continue to speak what you have heard from the Lord,
proclaim it every-time and every-where. As a pregnant woman, you are not
supposed to get tired, until you receive your expectation. No one will help you to carry your own expectation, so don’t get tired of nurturing it.
Without
expectation, life is a loss. Your expectation is your destiny. Nobody is ready
to destroy his/her destiny, so with any cost, keep your expectations.
Expectations
must be kept through faith. Abraham kept his expectation through faith. Do not
let the devil lie to you.
What hinders expectations?
- Doubt. When the word of life comes to you, don’t allow the spirit of doubt in you
- Fear. This is where the expectations are controlled by devil. Fear is the greatest weapon to destroy expectations
- Unbelief. We receive from God through faith, so not believing can destroy you spiritual pregnancy. Keep confessing the word of God, for the bible says a person will be filled the fruits of his mouth
- Negative thought. Don’t let any negative thought from you or anyone interfere you expectation. Don’t think opposite to what the word of God says over your expectation. Don’t listen to any bad news
Thanksgiving
is the best complement for your expectations.
