DON’T BE DECEIVED GOD IS NOT MOCKED
Galatians 6:7-10
“7 Do not be deceived: God cannot be mocked. A man reaps
what he sows. 8 Whoever sows to please their
flesh, from the flesh will reap destruction; whoever sows to please
the Spirit, from the Spirit will reap eternal life. 9 Let
us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a
harvest if we do not give up. 10 Therefore, as we
have opportunity, let us do good to all people, especially to those who
belong to the family of believers.”
If you have been moving forward and people pull you down,
stand and ask God to forgive you and renew you afresh and He will strengthen
you. Do not lose hope for you shall reap. When you have something in you, people
see it and try to discourage you, don’t let your soul reach a place of losing hope, that is not the will of God. Even if there is war in front of you affirm yourself
in the word and know that you are just passing through, the rewards are great
if we don’t grow weary. God knows the thought of men. The habits of men cannot
deceive God.
Romans 12: 1-2 “Therefore, I urge you, brothers and
sisters, in view of God’s mercy, to offer your bodies as a living
sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God—this is your true and proper worship. 2 Do not conform to the
pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your
mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his
good, pleasing and perfect will.”
Your bodies should be a living sacrifice, for it has a tendency
of falling into temptation. Do not be conformed to the ways of the world, for
example when your friends are going in a wrong direction and you correct them,
they will find a true friend in you when you tell them the truth and that will
cause you to have glory. Don’t connect
to the ways of the world because of the environment.
How will you be transformed?
- Know who you are
- Allow the word of God to change you
There is no way for you to change unless
you find the word of God to help you change in that area.
- Have a true repentance
The word of God carries a true repentance. When
you have the word of God you will have a true repentance without you being
ashamed of yourself.
- Pray to allow the presence of God in your life
The presence will only come when you achieve
the above three things. Reach a point that when you are told what is troubling you, you take a step to work on it. You will never see changes in your life if you
don’t work on it. When God sees that you are taking a step you will start to
receive new things.
CHARACTER OF THE FRESH
- Pride
Proverbs
13:10 “Where there is strife, there
is pride, but wisdom is found in those who take advice”
A person with pride is a person who is very
stubborn, they disperse others and all the time they think they right. They don’t believe others can do well. They
are boastful. They will do wrong to other but to them it is okay. They like to
be warned. Pride is compared to a
crocodile in the Bible (according to Job
41:1-34). They see themselves high and have authority over everything.
People with pride are very harsh.
- Anger
Ecclesiastes
7:9 “Do not be quickly
provoked in your spirit, for anger resides in the lap of fools”.
A person with anger is a fool. A person
with anger is a killer. (Read more Luke
5: 21-22, proverbs 16: 14).
Anger
is a messenger of death but a wise person will appease it. No matter the anger
but with the wisdom of God in them they will be calm.
Exodus
21: 12 “Anyone who strikes a person
with a fatal blow is to be put to death”
When you are angry you can do anything
dangerous. Blessing will run away from you when you are an angry person.
- Lies
It is of the devil. John 8: 44 “44 You belong to your father, the
devil, and you want to carry out your father’s desires. He was a
murderer from the beginning, not holding to the truth, for there is no truth in
him. When he lies, he speaks his native language, for he is a liar and the
father of lies.”
Lies will take away faithfulness. The habit
of lairing will make you perish.
- Unforgiveness
If you don’t forgive you destroy yourself
but if you forgive you will have a great reward in heaven. This is very vital
in anyone’s life. For you to be accepted in God’s presence you must be a person
that forgives. Many find it hard to forgive because of the things that they
went through in their lives. True forgiveness means not taking revenge.
Romans
12: 19 “19 Do
not take revenge, my dear friends, but leave room for God’s wrath, for it
is written: “It is mine to avenge; I will repay,” says the Lord”
The judgement of God is different from what you
have in your thought. He will use his judgement in a different way until the
other person that was judging you come down to the level that God wants.
