TOPIC: “THE SPIRIT OF THE LORD UPON US.”
The Spirit of the Lord upon us has carried two great things, which are; IDENTIFYING GOD TO PEOPLE and ANOINTING PEOPLE, where by God anoints us through Him. Jesus said that the Spirit of the Lord is upon Him, because He has anointed Him in order to preach the gospel or good news to the poor; so as to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised, to preach the acceptable year of the Lord.”
Luke 4:18 “The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; he hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised, to preach the acceptable year of the Lord.” (KJV)
The Spirit of the Lord was upon Him and pouring oil unto Him not inside Him; because He was sent by God who is our FATHER who is the Owner of the Heavens and the Earth. So the Authority which belongs to God has been given unto Jesus Christ so that He may give it to those who are willing to serve God, in the days of their lives.
